Well today I walked one of my friends through setting up his iPhone and all the accompanying set ups of e-mail and such. Then showed him the app store and now he is hooked for good. He is now texting and downloading apps like there is no tomorrow.
Well this week Apple announced iPhone OS 4.0 which is adds some much needed thing. Such as multitasking which is done really well all you have to do is double click on the home bottom and it brings up all open applications that you can switch to and when you do switch it saves the state of your applications. It also brings in folders to organize your apps all you have to do is drag applications on top of one another and it creates a folder that automatically gets named by the types of apps you but inside it. But you can also rename the folders as well. The new OS also brings a unified mailbox, threaded messages, and the ability to have two exchange accounts. All this is in there and more such as iAD, Gamescenter, and of course iBooks. This update is coming in the fall to iPhones 3G, 3GS and up(no multitasking in the iPhone 3G and ) and to iPod touches (only 2n gen and up) and to the iPad in the fall.
I can not wait for the iPad to launch here in Canada it looks so amazing and cool. Lots of good look iPad apps available now. It well be so cool when and if Apple and various publishers can work out subscriptions to them and then I would be set. Also I can not wait for the iBook store to launch as well.
