Well I decided two months ago to buy a Pebble Steel and have been using it daily ever since. I really like this watch since it can work with both iOS and Android phones that use Bluetooth 4.0 and LE. Plus the hardware for this watch is very nice and you can use two different custom bands either a leather one or a steel link one ( does not allow normal watch bands as it uses a custom link.) This watch especially when you use the leather band is pretty lightweight and non obtrusive.
This watch uses a app on both iOS and Android to pair it with your phone and manage your watch apps and faces as well as various other settings. You can keep up to 8 watch faces and or apps on your watch at a time. You can still use more apps and watch faces but you would have to rotate the others into the locker. For notifications on iOS it sends every kind over that you have enabled on your phone for notifications but on Android you can configure your notifications more. The great thing with this watch is you know when you get a notification it has a very strong vibration motor that buzzes every time your phone gets a notification that you want to be notified with. Plus you can accept or decline calls with your watch and control your music or media playback that is happening on your phone with your watch.
Battery life on this watch lasts between 5 to 7 days depending on your watch face and how many notifications you receive on a daily.
Overall I would recommend this watch especially if you are looking for a cross platform smartwatch.
